[Progic] Can I Use Spreadsheet Import for Other Section Types Besides the Birthday Section?
How to Use Spreadsheet Import to Manage Any Type of Content in Bulk
Yes, spreadsheet import can be used with any type of content you want. It's worth noting that its most common application is for birthdays due to the nature of the content and its relevance in corporate communication. However, the same import process can be used for virtually any content, as long as the information is structured according to the spreadsheet fields.
If you have a Manual Section, you can download the sample spreadsheet available directly from the import menu and fill it with the data you want, such as Title, Day of the Week, and Menu Type. You can also define a validity period (display duration) of one day so that this information appears on a specific date.
This process is simply a matter of interpreting the fields and deciding how you want to use them.
For example, let's assume that for birthdays you have the fields Name, Department/Area, and Birthday Date. Each of these elements is mapped to one of the spreadsheet fields used during the import process.
If we interpret Name, Department/Area, and Birthday Date as Title, Dish Day of the Week, and Type, we are simply assigning a different meaning to the same spreadsheet fields used for importing data.
Below are two screenshots demonstrating how the same spreadsheet can be interpreted in different ways.
Notice that only the column headers were changed to indicate that the content inserted from row 2 onward represents a completely different type of information.
