[Progic] Considerations for Networks with Proxy/Firewall
Proxy and Firewall Settings for Progic Player
Below are the initial guidelines for installing our device (Progic Player) in environments that use Proxy and/or Firewall.
Progic has designed its device to communicate using only two network ports: TCP port 80 (HTTP) and TCP port 443 (HTTPS), for file downloads and log uploads through the following URLs:
- Progic Manager – Access to the web system
- Firmware Updates – Firmware updates, if required
- Content Synchronization – Internet content synchronization
- File Synchronization – Internet file synchronization
- live.progic.com.br – Live Streaming transmission endpoint
The player will only download file extensions supported by the platform.
It will also upload .zip files containing usage and operational reports.
The use of Manager in environments with transparent proxy and cache may be affected. To avoid issues caused by restrictions in corporate networks that use transparent proxy or firewall solutions, the URLs listed above must also be allowed or added to the proxy exception list.
None of the recommendations provided in this document should pose any risk to the customer’s network or make it vulnerable in any way.
