# \[Progic\] What is it and how to create Sub-playlists?
## How to Organize and Sequence Your Media with Sub-playlists
A sub-playlist works similarly to a playlist, but it can be inserted into an existing playlist just like a media item.
It is also important to note that when a sub-playlist is inserted into a playlist, it does not display all of its content at once. Instead, it generally displays one media item at a time.
To create sub-playlists, follow the steps below:
1. Click the **Playlists** menu.
2. Click **Add → Add Subplaylist**.

3. Enter the sub-playlist name and select the sub-playlist type and the **Number of Media per Playback**.
1. **Sequential**: media is played in a user-defined sequence;
2. **Random**: media is displayed in a random order.
4. You can use the search filters to help organize and locate available media. This option is especially useful for users who have many media files registered in the system.
5. Add the **Available Media** to the **Sub-playlist Media**.
1. You can add media to your sub-playlist in 3 (three) ways:
1. Drag the desired media to the sub-playlist (this option allows you to insert it in any order);
2. Click the **+** in the upper-right corner of the desired media (adds it to the end of the sub-playlist);
3. Or double-click the desired media (adds it to the end of the sub-playlist).
6. Save the created sub-playlist and add it to a channel.
The sub-playlist can be configured as:
The **Number of Media per Playback** setting determines how many media items will be played when the sub-playlist is displayed. If the **"Play all from start to finish"** option is selected, this setting is ignored and all media in the sub-playlist will be played.
The order in which the media are added will be exactly the same order in which they will be played.
