[Progic] How to Use Facebook Media

Just like Instagram, using a Facebook-ready video in your programming requires two steps:

• Create a Facebook Data Source.
• Create a Facebook Media item and assign the Data Source you created.

Once completed, simply add it to your Playlist.

Please note that, due to Facebook policies, it is only possible to display posts from your Timeline or a Fan Page.

Follow the step-by-step guide below:

Step 1 – Creating the Facebook Data Source

To create a Facebook Data Source, go to Content → Editorial → +Add Editorial→ Facebook. A new window will open.

Assigning a Token

In this window, you will configure the Facebook Data Source. Click Continue with Facebook to generate a token. A new window will open where you must enter the login credentials for a Facebook account.

Once generated, remember to copy the code using Ctrl+C or by clicking Copy Token and Close Popup.

Paste the code into the Access Token field.

Click Load the list of pages you manage (a list of fan pages that your Facebook account can manage will be displayed).

Select a page in the Page to Integrate field.

Choose the Group that will have access to this Data Source.

Set the Maximum Number of Posts that Manager will import from the fan page. For example, if you enter 10, Manager will import the ten most recent posts.

Then click Save to create the Data Source.

Important

Keep in mind that, by default, an Access Token is valid for 60 days. However, users who manage Facebook pages can obtain Access Tokens that do not expire. Consider creating a Facebook Fan Page to obtain a non-expiring Access Token.

Create a Facebook Page

After configuring, wait until the Last Processing field displays OK.

You can click Edit Editorial to view the imported posts. Check how the Title, Image, Description, and Source are displayed for each post.

Step 2 – Creating Facebook Media Using the Data Source

Now, simply create a Facebook Template and add the Data Source you created to it.

To do this, navigate to Content → Media → Creative → Content Stock Button → Social Networks → Facebook to open the Ready Template Creation screen.

To replace the Facebook Data Source included in the template example with the one you created, first select the desired template model and then click the Editorial button.

A window will open displaying editorial configured in the template.

Click the Double Arrow (02) button. A popup window will open, allowing you to select the Editorial you want to use in the template.

After selecting the new Editorial, click OK to confirm.

Then enter a Name for the template and click Save and Close.

That's it! Your Facebook media is now ready to be added to your Playlist.
