[Caqui] Institutional Tab and Social Tab in the Posts Feed
A More Organized Timeline for Different Types of Content
The app's posts feed is evolving to provide users with a more organized, intuitive, and efficient experience. The timeline is now divided into two different contexts: Social and Institutional.
This change preserves the familiarity of navigation while creating a clearer structure for content consumption within the application. Until now, the app displayed all posts in a single timeline. While this model supported basic navigation, it made it difficult to distinguish between different types of communication and limited the ability to personalize the experience. With this new approach, users now have two dedicated spaces to follow what is relevant in each context, without mixing social and institutional content.
Two Experiences, One Seamless Navigation
Switching between the Social feed and the Institutional feed is seamless, with no need to restart or reload the application.
This separation improves the overall organization of the experience and helps users more easily identify the type of content they are viewing at any given moment. In addition, each tab displays only content related to its specific context, preventing social posts and institutional communications from being mixed together.
What’s Changing
Social Feed
The Social feed has been designed to preserve the experience users already know. The timeline structure remains very similar to the previous experience, with small visual and functional improvements that enhance usability without causing disruption.
Among these changes, the "See More" button is no longer available in social posts. Instead, an accessibility or action menu button is displayed on the right side of the post card.
Additionally, users have access to content reporting mechanisms whenever necessary, helping maintain a safe and healthy environment for interactions.
Institutional Feed
The Institutional feed is the main highlight of this evolution.
Institutional posts now feature their own visual identity, designed to make official organizational communications easier to identify. As a result, users can quickly recognize when they are viewing corporate information, internal announcements, campaigns, or strategic content.
This visual distinction reduces confusion between social and institutional content and creates a more intuitive experience, giving company communications a clearer and more organized presence within the application.
In addition, the new design helps direct attention to relevant content and improves the readability of information shared by the organization.
Visual Highlights for Important Content
Another important enhancement is the way priority content is presented within the Institutional timeline.
Posts marked as Pinned to Top receive a specific visual indicator, making it easier to locate communications that need to remain visible for extended periods.
Likewise, posts marked as Featured now include their own visual indicators, helping users quickly identify content considered a priority by the organization.
These enhancements make navigation more efficient, allowing important information to be found more easily and reducing the likelihood that relevant communications will go unnoticed while browsing the timeline.
More Contextual Filters for Each Tab
In addition to the new tab-based organization, this update expands the timeline filtering logic. Existing filters now operate according to the context of the active tab, whether Social or Institutional. This makes navigation more precise and helps users refine the content displayed more effectively.
Editorial Categories as a New Navigation Feature
A new option for selecting editorial categories has been added at the end of the filter bar.
With this feature, users can refine content displayed based on specific topics available within the organization, creating a more personalized and efficient browsing experience.
Editorial category selections apply only to the currently active tab, preserving the navigation context and providing a more organized experience between the Social and Institutional environments.
In practice, this first phase represents an important step in the evolution of the content experience within the app. Separating social and institutional content creates a clearer navigation experience, improves content organization, and establishes a stronger foundation for future enhancements.
